When two gals both named Sara(h) met each other while nannying in Paris, they both lamented how difficult it was to find stylish yet practical clothing for travel around Europe. From that first common sentiment, they decided to embark on creating clothing that served those purposes – classy, versatile to pair pieces with each other and beautiful luxurious fabrics. After lots of research into looks, feeling and testing fabrics, deciding on designs they started theclassicsparis.com! Now, well into their second year of success, they are looking to expand and get their lines into standing luxurious boutiques. That is what brought her to the Chicago area. Kirsten contacted me to ask about any favorite boutiques of mine or any friends I knew. I gave them a list and had a friend contact a great one here in Glencoe and in Evanston called Chalk. Another one is Valentina who has 3 locations – Glencoe, Lake Forest and Winnetka. Website coming soon. I can easily see theclassicsparis line in these gorgeous places. As of now, their standing boutiques are in Paris where Sara and Sarah reside and also another boutique in downtown Minneapolis where Sara Driscoll grew up! Visit either of them!
Sara and I
I know Sara Driscoll as she is the daughter of Kirsten Driscoll who painted with me for many years. When I was living in the twin cities and doing portrait photography, I shot Sara’s senior pictures 10 years ago, and this is the first time seeing and being with her since then! My, how she has grown into a beautiful, smart, artistic and driven young lady with a beautiful, classic clothing line that, IMO, would appeal to many. I will definitely be collecting a few things. ;))) Check out some things below and definitely click here for the complete website!
I’m in love with this plush, lush velvet dress!
At my meeting with Sara, she gave me a drive with the FW 2018 line, so I’m only showing a couple of pieces that you can look forward to!
This blouse is to die for!!!!
I love the sumptuous wool gabardine fabrics so much! Classic but with an edgy look!
This take on a sheath…!
See what I mean? This line is easy to wear, classy, classic, versatile and can easily be worn as street clothes, work and for travel all about the globe! My taste and style! What do you think? What are some of YOUR favorite pieces to travel in? I want to know!
Great to see Sara rocking it! Great post!
